PEFC EUDR DDS module standard published
New PEFC standard, “PEFC ST 2002-1:2024 Requirements for the Implementation of PEFC EUDR Due Diligence System (PEFC EUDR DDS),” approved by the PEFC General Assembly and released on 20 July 2024. This standard is designed to help organizations meet the requirements of the European Union Regulation on Deforestation Free Products (EUDR). This standard is voluntary.
The European Union Regulation on Deforestation Free Products (EUDR) aims to minimize the EU’s contribution to deforestation and forest degradation worldwide. It mandates that products made from forest materials entering the EU market must not be linked to deforestation, requiring thorough due diligence from organizations.
To assist organizations in aligning with EUDR requirements, PEFC has developed the PEFC ST 2002-1:2024 standard. This module standard provides a comprehensive framework for implementing a Due Diligence System (DDS) that supports compliance with EUDR.
