BM Certification UK Appointed as Compliance Verification Services Provider for ASCAS and SRFAS
BM Certification UK is proud to announce its appointment by Zemo Partnership (Scheme Manager) as approved compliance verification services provider (Scheme Auditor) for the Advanced Sustainable Component Supply Chain Assurance Scheme (ASCAS) and the Sustainable Racing Fuels Assurance Scheme (SRFAS).
This is a new direction for our enterprise that is focused on sustainability and innovation within the global automotive and motorsports.
The ASCAS and SRFAS schemes set rigorous standards to ensure that racing fuels and components meet stringent sustainability requirements. Participants in these schemes are verified to ensure that their fuels consist sustainable components sourced exclusively from:
- Non-food biomass
- Biomass wastes and residues
- Renewable feedstock of non-biological origin
- Fossil fraction of municipal solid waste
In addition to material sourcing, the schemes require that participants meet well-defined greenhouse gas emissions thresholds, advancing the sustainability agenda for motorsport and related sectors.
BM Certification audit processes under ASCAS and SRFAS are aligned with globally recognized assurance frameworks.
These audits follow the Renewable Energy Directive (RED) voluntary schemes framework, ensuring thorough and transparent assessments.
We are pleased to share that BM Certification UK commenced ASCAS compliance audits at the end of 2024. The first company to be recognised as meeting ASCAS compliance was approved in January 2025.
